This is a really high quality retro microphone that contains modern equipment to ensure its up to the standards expected of today’s audio professionals. You’ll get that classic look with the abilities and performance of todays microphone. This is a bit pricier than some other classic microphones I’ve seen but it really blows everything else away in terms of its quality and features. The look is straight out of the 50s and 60s and is called the “Elvis Microphone” because it resembles the style the King himself used. You can’t get anymore retro than this especially when you consider the die cast casing that will also provide you with excellent durability and a long product life. This microphone could easily last you a life time with proper care. Features a unidirectional polar pattern to ensure background noises aren’t picked up while providing the highest level of detail in the audio picked up. Rated from 75 to 300 ohm connection to microphone input equipment. The cartridge is shock mounted to prevent input noise from microphone stand and the base. Frequency response is specifically tuned for vocals and instrumentals. Also includes a swivel mount that rotates from 45 degrees to 80 degrees in the opposite direction. This is nice both in terms of personal preference and being able to flip a microphone the other way. If you’re looking for a higher end retro microphone this could be it. It’s extremely well designed in terms of limiting interference, increasing audio quality, and durability. You really can’t go wrong with this if your budget can support it and you’re looking to record vocal or instrumental tracks. The style is a classic and you’ll definitely get lots of comments about it from other musicians and recording artists. |
