This is a classic dynamic retro microphone with modern internals. It features a high output cartridge which allows for high powered audio. Unidirectional (cardoid) design to pick up audio in front of the microphone extremely well while blocking out background noise in the studio. All in a retro looking outer case that looks straight out of the 50s and 60s.

While this microphone isn’t as heavy duty as some of the others I’ve seen it is a lot less inexpensive and should work fine for a long time. It’s a little bit more on the modern side in terms of its looks although they are definitely inspired by retro microphones. Something about it just seems a little more modern looking though. The lack of information on the construction material is probably hiding that it’s plastic or aluminum.

When you consider the quality of the internal parts in combination with the great price this is a really good buy. It might not be solid metal (they don’t specify) but if taken care of this microphone should be providing you with quality audio performance for many years. Don’t doubt its capabilities as a recording device just its exact faithfulness to the retro look. If you can over look this then you have an amazing microphone.

Definitely a high quality microphone that still retains a very retro look. Don’t pass this deal up as it’s an opportunity to pick up a beautiful and high quality microphone. If you like the look don’t hesitate as there’s no doubt this is a professional level audio microphone.

This is a really high quality retro microphone that contains modern equipment to ensure its up to the standards expected of today’s audio professionals. You’ll get that classic look with the abilities and performance of todays microphone. This is a bit pricier than some other classic microphones I’ve seen but it really blows everything else away in terms of its quality and features.

The look is straight out of the 50s and 60s and is called the “Elvis Microphone” because it resembles the style the King himself used. You can’t get anymore retro than this especially when you consider the die cast casing that will also provide you with excellent durability and a long product life. This microphone could easily last you a life time with proper care.

Features a unidirectional polar pattern to ensure background noises aren’t picked up while providing the highest level of detail in the audio picked up. Rated from 75 to 300 ohm connection to microphone input equipment. The cartridge is shock mounted to prevent input noise from microphone stand and the base. Frequency response is specifically tuned for vocals and instrumentals. Also includes a swivel mount that rotates from 45 degrees to 80 degrees in the opposite direction. This is nice both in terms of personal preference and being able to flip a microphone the other way.

If you’re looking for a higher end retro microphone this could be it. It’s extremely well designed in terms of limiting interference, increasing audio quality, and durability. You really can’t go wrong with this if your budget can support it and you’re looking to record vocal or instrumental tracks. The style is a classic and you’ll definitely get lots of comments about it from other musicians and recording artists.

For a music lover nothing is more classic then a retro microphone. These great designs have stood up to the test of time and are still available today because of their appealing style. Whether for your enjoyment or your audience, using a classic style of microphone can be fun and inspiring. When you think back to earlier artists or even the music you remember hearing or being inspired by in the past and you can feel a connection through the microphone you hold and its design.

When purchasing a new microphone it’s important that you consider your needs in terms of function as well as style. As a collector you may care more about the date of fabrication while a musician or musical enthusiast might be more impressed with it being in working order. For those interested in a functional microphone with classic style or design there are manufacturers available. Although some vintage pieces are still in working order, they will often need regular maintenance or parts changed that might be difficult to find because of the age of the microphone. Either way, you will find great ways to use your newly purchased microphone.

Enjoy some of your favorite songs preformed with this authentic gear. There is nothing like hearing your favorite jazz, blues or rock song, the one that inspired you early on, through a classic microphone in your own hand. Your fans will love it too when your show has the added detail of classic and well designed retro microphones. New or old, these great pieces pay homage to musicians before and honor them in a subtle way.

Mounted in a display case, used in a jam session or even in a live concert, these retro style classic microphone designs are appreciated and enjoyed by most who see them. Purchasing these time honored designs can be as easy as an online merchant or as complex as researching and keeping track of auctions or pawn shops. Either way you are sure to come away with what you want because there are so many styles of these classic microphone designs to purchase.
